ITT Cannon showcases newest generation of interconnect solutions at the 51st International Paris Air Show

12/6/15

At the Paris Airshow ITT Cannon celebrates its 100-year legacy of creating products that enable breakthrough innovation across aerospace and related industries by showcasing new products that include…

OctoGigA high-bandwidth data connector that offers a ten-fold increase in transfer rates compared to existing solutions; the eight-conductor termini’s reduced size and weight, ease of installation and transfer rates to 10 Gbps allow for higher-performance and cost-efficiency.

HSC ConnectorsAn extensive line of small rectangular connectors providing high reliability in rugged, exposed environments and supporting a variety of missions, including future soldier applications. The connectors’ flush surface and low profile allows for easy integration into handheld or portable devices required to transfer high-speed data at low power levels.

K-Lock Ultra High-Vibration Locking Coupling systemThis high-performance locking coupling system delivers unmatched reliability for electrical connections by eliminating unexpected decoupling and the need for a secondary lock. K-Lock’s stainless steel construction can withstand 100 g of shock and 2,000 Hz of vibration.

Black Zinc Nickel (Zi-Ni) Plating The innovative black zinc nickel alloy provides long-lasting corrosion-resistance to exposed connector surfaces in the commercial and military aircraft industry.

ITT Interconnect Solutions supports Santa Maria Orphanage, Mexico with their “Spices to College” project.

5/1/15

ITT Interconnect Solutions is helping support the Santa Maria Orphanage in Querétaro, Mexico through the activities of the non-profit organization Engineers without Borders (EWB).

The project “Spices to College” increases the field irrigation systems at the Santa Maria Orphanage to help the community become self-sufficient and ultimately provide an income to enable the children to attend college. The crops harvested by Santa Maria will serve as food, and the spices collected will be sold through the joint Santa Maria and EWB project, “Spices to College”. So far, the crops have provided over 50% of feed for their livestock needs along with contributing to fresh corn and corn meal for the orphanage. The development of the oregano fields will provide the profit and contribution aid the children attend college and lead to advancements in other areas of the orphanage.

The ICS project includes a $5,000 grant for the agricultural and irrigation project.  In addition to the 300 children who will benefit, so will others in the local community, including a number of elderly residents.

The project is managed by Engineers without Borders who are “a nonprofit humanitarian organization established to support community-driven development programs worldwide”

“I want to thank you for your generous contribution,” says Cody Noffsinger -
Mexico Project Leader for the EWB  “Your support ensures the continual development of this community and the ultimate aim to enable the children to not only have a better life within the community but also a better future.

Electronica 2014 - the future is connected

24/11/14

ITT Interconnect Solutions Cannon, Veam and BIW brands recently exhibited at Electronica 2014 in Munich Germany. More than 73,000 visitors and 2,700 exhibitors attended this 50 year anniversary of the world’s largest event for the electronics industry. During the four days of the trade fair the overriding theme visible in the exhibition halls, announcements and activity was that  the future is connected – from wearables and cars to entire towns and cities.

At ITT Cannon we are committed to connecting the future and in Munich we highlighted innovation in two key segments. For the medical market we showcased Universal Contacts for right angle applications which are designed to seamlessly link two PCBs in a wide range of emerging electronic applications such as wearable medical devices, plus the new solderless QLC connector that can reduce costs by up to 30 percent during the PCB assembly and soldering process. For the defense market we showcased the industry’s first RoHS compliant VG connector which meets the demand for products with environmental benefits without compromising the reliable and ruggedized performance necessary for critical defense applications.

If you visited us in Munich, thank you. If you didn't, we hope to see you there in 2016!
